No News is Bad News for Gary Gnus, er... Mark Prior

Cubs' employee Mark Prior went under the knife yesterday, and the Cubs still have no idea how the surgery turned out. Dr. James Andrews was given the okay to fix anything in the shoulder that he thought needed fixing -- meaning Prior could be throwing again in weeks, months or in a year. When it comes to Prior though, you have to assume that no news is bad news. Just like good news is bad news. And slightly-okay news is bad news. And moderately optimistic news is bad news. And bad news is bad news. UPDATE -- The Cubs' just announced that a lot of medical jibber jabber was done to Prior's shoulder yesterday. Bottom line -- the Cubs' employee will not pitch again in 2007. No word on whether the organization has apologized to him yet for leaving him off of the Opening Day roster.
