D. Lee to be Traded!

Okay, so it hasn't happened yet -- but Derrek Lee will assuredly be out of Chicago before the end of next season. And it is all my fault. I was at Wrigley Field last Thursday and Friday (guiding the Cubs back into first place) and couldn't resist the urge to buy a Derrek Lee t-shirt. Unfortunately, this purchase ensures that Lee will not be wearing a Cubs' uniform within a year, as any t-shirt I buy becomes obsolete shortly thereafter. Don't believe me? Just ask my Jose Guillen Washington Nationals' t-shirt. Or my "Enron Field: Home of the Houston Astros" t-shirt. The phenomenon dates back to my childhood, when I purchased a t-shirt for the WWF tag team, Demolition. A few months later, they replaced Demoltion Ax with Demoltion Crush (RIP). Things were never the same for Demolition, or me, or my shirt. So farewell, D. Lee. And I apologize. On my next trip to Wrigley, I'll look to put my curse to good use, and try to buy t-shirts for Ronny Cedeno and Scott Eyre.
