Hey, You With the Jelly Donut...

What's the hold up? I'm ready to get Fuked. Amidst the Brian Roberts talk, I'm still more genitally tantilized by Kosuke Fukudome. So, please me, damn it.

Last year, K-Fuk only played in 81 games, but put up a .294/.443/.520 line, hit .318 with runners in scoring position, hit 13 HR and 22 doubles with 48 RBI. His BB/K ratio was 69/66.

But, looking back to a fuller (More full? Guh.) 2006 season of 130 games, Foo-Koo threw up these numbers: .351/.438/.653, .360 with runners in scoring position, 31 HR, 47 2B, 5 3B and 104 RBI. His BB/K ratio was 76/94. Through the magic of the Interweb, those red numbers give me the sexy times.

There's no doubt that The Fukmeister immediately makes the Cubs outfield, and lineup, better. If the rumors of the Brian Roberts trade are true (strenghthening the lineup, still), especially that the Cubs are willing to part with Sean Marshall and Rich Hill, then I get concerned again about the pitching. It kind of seems like they'd be putting a lot more faith into the Mark Prior situation, leading me to believe the organization would be willing to sign him ... again. Things could get interesting, here, folks.

UPDATE: On the Brian Roberts front, it seems that there was an error in my report. I know, I know...unbelieveable, isn't it? It seems that the Baltimore Sun believes Matt Murton and Sean Gallagher could be the centerpieces to land Brian Roberts, although the geniuses (genii?) over at Rotoworld think otherwise.
