Gregg Doyel Thinks You're A Loser

Someone named Gregg Doyel, a CBS SportsLine.com "national columnist" - as opposed to their many regional columnists - is extremely worried that someone, somewhere might be having a good time. And he is determined to put a stop to it, by name calling. His target: The World Series of Poker and the "idiots," "losers," "degenerates," and "addicts" who participate, as well as their enablers at ESPN. A taste of his insight: High-stakes gambling is for addicts and idiots, which makes the World Series of Poker a celebration of the sad and the stupid. Watch this train wreck for yourself. It's available live on the Internet and will come to free television later this year thanks to ESPN, which can next build on this viewer experience by televising a DUI checkpoint or maybe a crack house. Sounds like Gregg wasn't invited to the CBS casino night. And don't think Doyel's employer doesn't like poker. CBS has a whole page dedicated to poker and has a countdown to something called the Summer Slam (which presumably will be a CBS product - or is just oddly worthy of a countdown). Tellingly, Doyel's column is not included on the CBS poker page.
