The fearless leader of this blog was clearly so caught up in the live blogging of the new Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., last week that he had to come out and see it for himself -- right away. And there he was, standing outside this lovely new stadium surrounded by Dilapidatia, watching all the red-clad Nats fans filing into the welcoming CenterField entrance......and he's completely decked out in Cubs gear. Cubs hat. Cubs sweatshirt. Wrigleyville attitude. He even brought Wrigleyville weather -- a stinging 40+ degrees with a biting wind all making for a great environment to watch two of the NL's finest teams do battled: Washington and Florida. (If he waited a couple weeks, he could have seen the Cubs in Natstown.) His one faux pas, however. Caught mingling giddily with the AB Clydesdales before the game, who were entertaining the crowd as they came into the park. The Cardinals and all things St. Louis still are the enemy, Mr. Wrigleyville. Luckily, we were able to seize and destroy all pictures.
