Insight From A Cardinals Fan

Found this over at Cardinals Diaspora: God. I hate the Cubs. I really do. Not so much the club, per se- since they’ve been a bunch of losers for about 100 years. But the fans. Ugh. The fans. Depraived (sic) of winning, they turn insuffarable (sic) at the mere whiff of hope. We can only hope that the Cardinals decide to take a stand against all that is unholy this weekend and beat the bat piss out of those nasal-y, Old Style swilling pigs on the North Side. They’ll prolly get whupped up on and leave about 45 games out of first place, but still- we can pray. It just makes me almost puke thinking the Cubs are any good. Do you think he meant "Deprived of winning ..." or "Depraved of winning ...", which of course would mean two very different things. Deprived would make more sense in context, but who knows? That said, he does have a point about many, many Cubs fans. And many, many Cardinals fans. And the probably 11 of the 17 Brewers fans. When there are any number of fans of a team, the obnoxious ones will stand out. Either way, we have always respected the Cardinals' winning ways - if not the team's culture of drunken driving - and inconsistent policing of such activities. And their unwillingness to take responsibility for such actions. Not to mention their shabby treatment of teen-age girls.
