On to April, when we had baseball every day, the return of Fat Prince pictures and the debut of angry Oriole fans. Enjoy: April 1: We warn you not to get too excited about Kosuke Fukudome, evoking the ghosts of Corey Patterson and Tuffy Rhodes. April 2: A new contributor joins WV23 - and he really, really loves Dusty Baker. April 2: Lou's vow that Alfonso Soriano would never bat leadoff again is broken. Shocker. April 3: Soriano leads off, Cubs win. That will be a trend throughout the year. April 3: Dusty notes the "DeRosa Challenge." It involves M&Ms and a microwave. April 4: The first Fat Prince picture of the year - and it's a good one. April 4: Dusty tries to explain why he likes Dusty Baker. The court of public opinion finds his arguments less than convincing. April 6: IAN develops a crush on Fukudome. April 8: It is reported that Fukudome played on the company softball team in Japan (may have been baseball, but we choose to believe it's softball). April 9: The second Fat Prince picture. It offends some people who apparently are biased against pictures of fat people. April 9: An Iowan reports a burglary - of his Cubs, White Sox, Yankees and Red Sox hats, not to mention a pistol, antique German coins and eight Hot Wheel cars. April 10: The inaugural skinny Craig Counsell picture. April 10: Orioles fans catch wind of a Brian Roberts post here and provide stern lectures. They're fun people. April 13: The first hint of Dusty Baker and broadcaster trouble in Cincinnati. April 15: Alfonso Soriano is apparently injured by his bunny hop. April 17: IAN pines for Matt Murton. He has bad taste in baseball players. April 20: Marty Brennaman exposes himself as a hypocritical ass. April 21: The Cubs are off to their fastest start since '85. April 23: The Cubs win No. 10,000 in 10 innings. Big day for supporters of a base 10 system. April 27: The media starts to notice some troubling truths about Dustyball. April 27: Derrek Lee and Aramis Ramirez say they want to play all 162 games. They don't. April 28: The first (and last) Derrick Turnbow is Handsome picture. April 29: The inaugural Around The Blogs, previewing the second Brewers-Cubs series. It's a landmark day. April 29: Len Kasper is confused about how the human penis works.
