Bruce Webber, who is - after all - the coach of this mess. 2. Illinois players, who are - after all - the players on this mess. c. Eric Gordon, who had the good sense to stay home once Mike Davis left Bloomington. The answer, of course, is "C," as the Illini faithful cope with their inadequacy, feel no shame over the death threats to EJ and his family, and generally act like Dom Woganowski. Let it go, people. Let it go. And teach your guys to make free throws. If you had, you would be on top of your 11-13 world this morning. Re this from Forde: (A balancing note for IU fans tisking at the Illinois petulance: Don't forget the hatefest you staged for North Carolina star Sean May when the Bloomington product came home to play at Indiana.) He's right. Sean May would have gone to IU if Bob Knight still had been in Bloomington. The school made its decision, hired Mike Davis and watched Sean May, Greg Oden, Josh McRoberts (who cares?), Mike Conley Jr. and all of the others leave the state during the Davis years. Not that they would have stayed home under Knight or another coach, but they would have been recruited. Indiana is always best when home-state players are at its core, something Davis never understood. Anyway, IU fans' treatment of May (and Luke Recker, for that matter) was ridiculous. But let's talk about Thursday...
