To ease my suffering through the Hollywood writer's strike, and to hopefully gain a few chuckles and masculine butt pats from my peers, I've decided to rehash some of my favorite quotes from my favorite TV show--"The Office."

Today's installment comes to us via an exchange between Michael and the ridiculously underrated Daryl (y'know...one of the "warehouse guys"). The following hilarity ensues:

Daryl (explaining to Michael why he doesn't want fire-eaters in the warehouse for Casino Night): "We just have a lot of stuff down there that could be stolen."

Michael: "That's ironic."

Daryl: "What?"

Michael: "That you are afraid."

Daryl: "Why? Because I'm from 'da hood?'"

Michael (shrugs his shoulders): "Dinkin' flicka."

Daryl (cut to talking head and fighting off laughter): "I taught Mike a few phrases to help him with his "interracial" conversations. You know like "fleece it out," "going Mach 5," "dinkinflicka." You know, things us Negroes say."

Michael: "Gimme some."

[Michael and Daryl do a goofy choreographed handshake.]

Daryl (laughing): "Oh, and I taught him a handshake, too."

And, scene. Daryl rocks. Michael's an ass. Angela's hot. C'est la vie. Where'd that come from? I don't know. Well, now that we've all gathered our senses from the great Wrigleyville23 Debacle 08 that was the site address last night, we can all send our birthday wishes to...the one...the only...Ernie Banks, ladies and gentlemen. It's an honor to share a birthday with Mr. Cub.
