Around The Blogs: Toronto Blue Jays

You know what I discovered today? They have the InterWeb in Canada, our neighbor to the north. I know, that sounds crazy, but they do. And some of them write things about the Toronto Blue Jays:

The Mockingbird seems a little upset about something, but I haven't watched enough Blue Jays games this year to understand what. It's a rather attractive Web site, though.

The Southpaw is trying to accentuate the positive, but is struggling a bit after a rough loss Wednesday night. They do have an interesting poll: "Confidence Check: a) high; b) low; c) f--- off; d) meh, watching Euro 2008 for the next few weeks." c has a slight lead over a, as of this writing.

(OK, had to check because I can't figure out the swings in emotion here: Toronto is 34-34 and 7.5 out in the AL East. Five back in the Wild Card.)

The Tao of Stieb is very cross with BJ Ryan, using words like misery, disappointment, ineptitude and impotence before really getting upset: "Ladies and Gentlemen - Your 2008 Toronto Blue Jays: Crushing your spirit, shredding the crushed remains, then lighting the whole shredded heap into blazing inferno. Rinse. Repeat."

Finally, Drunk Jays Fans are in some sort of dispute with Mike Toth. I don't know who that is, but the DJF describes him as "a little weasel who has somehow managed to finagle his way into securing a platform from which to infect an unsuspecting audience with his ill-informed opinions." Toth responds here.

All in all, I've enjoyed my trip north of the border. In fact, this is among my favorite visits around the blogs (along with the Dodgers).
