Cardinals Writers: Cubs A Mess, But Will Win Central

If you're like me, Opening Day just won't be complete until you know what a group of Cardinals types think about the Cubs. After minutes of research, here's your answer: They think they'll win the Central. But the writers at The Birdhouse aren't very polite about it, poo-pooing the quality of the Cubs rotation depth (how dare they!), call Kerry Wood "fragile" and "brittle" (who knew?), suggest Ryan Theriot isn't a leadoff hitter (what??), complain about Carlos Zambrano being enthusiastic (too stinking bad), proclaim they hate the name Fukudome (bigots), compare Derrek Lee unfavorably to Albert Pujols (insightful, but at least he doesn't need year-ending elbow surgery), call Aramis Ramirez "disinterested" (bye, Mr. Rolen), and inexplicably talk up Matt Murton. And despite all that, four out of five writers pick the Cubs - with the fifth picking the Brewers. Which of course once again proves my theory that the Cardinals suck.
