A Little Advice For The Chicago Cubs

Now I'm not a professional baseball player or manager or anything, but I've done some consulting with large and varied organizations in my time - and here's what I think the Cubs need to do: Go outside the box a little bit for Game 3 and try some new things. To start: 1. Score more runs in the game. While I'm no expert, I've heard that will help win baseball games. 2. Limit the number errors in a game, as well as the number of players who commit them. Four errors (actually, five) by four infielders (one each!) has nice symmetry, but it does not help win baseball games. 3. Limit the number of runs the other team scores to fewer than seven. This can be accomplished, in part, by addressing No. 2. 4. Start only American or Latin American players in the outfield. That should help. With that, I think we'll be on to something in Game 3. Without that, the Cubs are going to have a long cold winter of thinking about what they've done.
