Pregame Dusty reports, "This place is insane." Dick Stockton notices, too, noting how much more energy there is at Wrigley tonight. Lets try to figure out why: Local start time in Game 1: 5:30 p.m. Local start time in Game 2: 8:30 p.m. What possibly could the fans have been doing in those three extra hours? Pep rally? Prayer meetings? Fergie Jenkins throws out the first pitch: Game on. First Inning Dick Stockton has a face (and hair) that's made for something other than high def. Like low def. Really, really low def. 1-2-3 for Big Z, including a strikeout of Manny. The place is indeed excitable tonight. Cubs up. Stockton just said, "The Cubs changed the order of the batting order." Check. I'm not a big believer in booing pitchers who try to hold batters on. What are they supposed to do, just let Soriano walk to second? ... Or allow a passed ball. Same difference. Theriot, Lee and Ramirez waste Soriano's leadoff single. Crap. Second inning Ethier breaks up the no-hitter. Which is good, because it was getting hard not to talk about it. But that opens the door for three errors (Theriot's was an error - or stupid, at the very least), a bunt single, two strikeouts, a three-run double, Screw this ... we are now discontinuing the live blog. You people can see what is happening. (Dodgers 5, Cubs 0 in the second)
