Brewers Fans Spreading Wisdom All Over

I'm thinking specifically about a couple of Brewers fans who have stopped by to leave the following comments today, first in this post about the brilliance of the team's marketing department:

cubs fan no how to talk even no they have the worst coach and the worst batting order lets see when they dont win a playoff game this year 101 baby - bill berdan.

That is word for word, lack of punctuation for lack of punctuation, misspelling for misspelling, factual error by factual error by reader Bill.

Earlier in the day, Brewer fan Mike had stopped by to object to a Jayson Stark-cited survey that found that the Brewers were the third most unimproved team in the National League:

Jason Stark ranked 49th out of 50 in MLB prediction accuracy by news reporters. I hardly call that a good prediction record.

He picked the Cubs to be in it (in 2008 (who didn't?) but he picked the Mariners, Tigers, and Braves too. Let's hope he's wrong again in 2009.

The Brewers fared well enough during the offseason to improve their team and give the Cubs a better running in 2009. Although we went 7-9 against you guys in '09, look for us to improve on that record this year.

With the payroll we have (about $85 million) we were able to land all-time saves leader in Hoffman, Braden Looper who eats-up a lot of innings and pitches well against the Cubs, and preserved all of our young talent both in the Majors and Minors.

We also picked-up Casey McGehee from you guys. Some in your organization have been quoted as saying he most likely will bat .300 when he gets to the majors.

I understand why he didn't play much for you guys in the Majors but I hope he can help us now that Bill Hall is injured and possibly out for the early part of the season.

I think with the money we have, I think our GM makes better decisions than your GM.

Cross your fingers with Milton Bradley, Lou Pinella, and Carlos Zambrano on the same bench. - Mike.

So reader Mike doesn't understand that Jayson Stark did not make these judgments. It was a survey of 15 people, as clearly stated in the story. Beyond that, reader Mike believes the Brewers improved by:

1. Subtracting Ben Sheets and half a season of CC Sabathia and replacing them with Braden Looper; and

2. Adding Casey McGahee.

OK. Good luck with that.
