Dusty Baker's tireless quest to reassemble the Chicago Cubs in Cincinnati continued today when the Reds signed Jacque Jones and Daryle Ward to minor league contracts.

With the acquisitions, here is the list of former Cubs he has brought in (all but Ward played for Baker in Chicago):

  • Jacque Jones: 2006-07 Cubs, 2009 Reds
  • Daryle Ward: 2007-08 Cubs, 2009 Reds
  • Corey Patterson: 2000-05 Cubs, 2008 Reds
  • Paul Bako: 2003-04 Cubs, 2008 Reds, 2009 Cubs
  • Kent Mercker: 2004 Cubs, 2003, 2005-08 Reds
  • Jerry Hairston Jr.: 2005-06 Cubs, 2008-09 Reds

He also has Alex Gonzalez on the team but belatedly realized it was the wrong Alex Gonzalez.
