Phil Rogers Isn't Sure Hill Is A Disappointment

So few words, so much to work with from Phil Rogers today:

It's going to be interesting to hear what Rich Hill says about Lou Piniella's patience when he's a country away in the Orioles' camp. He was sent to Iowa because of poor control and then labeled as a head case and disappointment. There's a lot of talent for the Orioles to get out

So, Rich Hill was "labeled" a head case and disappointment? Leave the head case out of this, though it is hard to explain why a Major League pitcher can suddenly not throw strikes.

But "labeled" a disappointment? Actually, Phil, that is a statement of fact. He was expected to be the No. 2 or No. 3 starter for the Chicago Cubs in 2008. Instead, he walked 18 batters in fewer than 20 innings in five starts.

Of course, Phil Rogers is the same person that wrote that the Cubs made a mistake by letting Mark Prior go.
