But for one day only it will cost you a mere $40* (and $10 if you are a child) to receive the word from the Cubs shortstop/emotional center/TOOTBLAN machine: NATCHITOCHES – Chicago Cubs’ shortstop and former LSU standout Ryan Theriot will headline the 2009 Northwestern State Baseball Opening Day Banquet on Saturday, February 7 at 6 p.m. “We are extremely privileged to have Ryan come and speak at this year’s banquet,” Demon coach J.P Davis said. “He is regarded as one of the top young shortstops in the big leagues, not to mention he is a great guy and a tremendous role model.” Theriot is 29, but it's a young 29. *Air fare to Natchitoches not included.
