Baseball Is Getting Fun Again

With August nigh, the trade deadline passing, the National League Central separated by half a game, the Cardinals taking three of four from the best team in the league, and the Cubs taking three of four from an Astros team that was just two games back ... it's safe to say it's pennant race time.

Woohoo.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your stomach for drama), the Cubs and Cardinals play just three more times - in St. Louis in mid-September.

Interestingly, the Cubs play the newly decimated Pirates nine times in the next two months (including the last week of the season). The Cardinals play them six more times.
