Comment Of The Day: Brewer Edition

It's comment on the comments week here at Wrigleyville23. Today's comment comes from a Brewers fan visiting Bleacher Nation:

At least that suckiest team managed to win a playoff game...something the Chicago Chokes haven't managed to do since when...the Nixon administration. Why don't you worry about how sucky your team is come playoff time and let the rest of us worry about our own teams.

So, JG apparently believes one of the following:

1. The Cubs won a playoff game between 1969 and 1974.

2. Richard Nixon was president in 2003.

They did not, and he was not. In fact, the Cubs did not play in a playoff game during the Nixon administration, and Nixon wasn't even alive in 2003 - let alone president.

Additionally, there's another Brewer fan struggling with history in the comments at Wasting Away In Wrigleyville:

And when was the last time the Cubs won one of those pennants? Oh yeah, when FDR was President! At least there are still people alive with all of their own teeth - ME! - able to say they saw their team play in the World Series. Go Brewahs! - jwillie67.

FDR had been dead for nearly six months when the Cubs won the pennant in 1945.

I'm beginning to question the quality of schools up there in Wisconsin.
