Want to know what's wrong with the 11-17 Astros? The commenters at the Houston Chronicle seem to know (and it seems to start with Lance Berkman and Cecil Cooper):

Lance goes 0-5 with 4 strike outs yet he has time to give us his views on Manny. How about focusing all your time and energy on hitting the ball? You lousy batting is costing us a season Lance. Pay attention to what you can control and stop trying to by the spokesman for MLB and PED.

When is Cooper going to be fired? When is he going to make some changes? He needs to get rid of Ortiz, Hampton, Paulino, Fulchino, Berry, etc. We had 11 strikeouts tonight, pathetic! Berkman needs to be benched for a while. Every move Cooper makes is wrong. He used Blum to pinch hit; he struck out. He used Bourn to pinch hit; he struck out. The cubs pitching struck out the side in the eight inning. We need to learn to use the take signal which means that the players do not swing at the pitch. Then, maybe we could earn some walks. Cooper puts in Michaels and the bonehead hits into a double play in the first inning when we were actually getting to Lily. Fire Cooper, Fire Wade.

This is a lot of disconent from fans of a team that I was led to believe would have been world champs if not for a Gulf hurricane last September.
