Cubs To Sign Kevin Millar? Oh Boy!

The Cubs continue to tinker around the edges by reportedly bringing in Kevin Millar on a minor league contract, with an invite to spring training.

This seems rather, um, irrelevant. He plays only first base (and the Cubs have a first baseman) and has posted a stellar .230/.319/.384 over the last two seasons in Toronto and Baltimore. Not helpful.

At least Ryan Dempster will have somebody to play with.

The guy did bat clean-up for the Jays for a while last season...

...hahahahahahha!

But really, if the Cubs are in a situation in 2010 where they *need* Millar, then the situation is well past hopeless.

Also, Dempster has Dempster to play with.
